The soldiers have continued their efforts to stay in the Uganda Premier league in the forth coming 2020/2021 season by recruiting Kefa Kisala as their new head coach.
The new league entrants have been busy in the transfer market, bringing in players like Simon Mbaziira, Gadaffi Gadihno,Ibrahim Wammanaah, James Begisa whereas defender Andrew Waiswa and goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo have also renewed their contracts.
The management has turned their attention to putting right the technical team and Kefa Kisala was henceforth appointed the perfect replacement for Steven Bogere.
Bogere worked with the soldiers in the Big League last season and helped them secure promotion to the top tier as they led the Rwenzori group with 23 points from 7 wins, 2 draws and two losses from 11 matches. He's now at Buddu Saza team ahead of the 2020 tournament.
Kefa Kisala who had applied for the head coach role at Bright stars but sensed mystery surrounding the job, immediately ran to the Bombo side.
Kisala is a former Uganda Cranes international and also played club football for Express FC and KCC FC (now KCCA FC). His coaching career has seen him manage teams like Express FC, URA FC, BUL FC and his last tenure saw him coach new side Wakiso Giants where he didn't last longer.
Kisala's primary role is to keep the soldiers in the top division in the season 2020/2021 which kicks off on 17th October, 2020.
