The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations has resolved that there won't be basketball season this year 2020.
During the meeting held on Wednesday 23rd July, 2020 the executive committee concluded that all local basketball activities won't be staged this year.
The following resolutions were agreed upon:
1. All basketball activities under FUBA supervision are cancelled except for the Afrobasket qualifier.
2. Contract issues between clubs and Players will be handled according to the country's contract laws.
3. The Executive committee will use this period to plan for how the Basketball season 2021 will be run and a decision will be announced not passed the date of August 31st 2020.
4. That players, that had registered with their clubs for the 2020 basketball season, without formal contracts will be handled as per the FUBA rules and regulations of 2020 which provide for a default contract of two years. The two years will, therefore, start from 2021 onwards.
