Kampala Capital City Authority Lord Mayor who also doubles as the patron for the KCCA FC club has donated One million Uganda shillings to each of the two former Uganda Cranes stars in Andrew "Fimbo" Mukisa and Jamil Willy Kyambadde.
The former, who holds the record for the most goals in a single season in Uganda premier league history was found at his place of residence in Wakaliga, whereas Kyambadde was found at his home in Kawempe.
Mukasa is well known for his 45 goals in a single season in 1999 when playing for SC Villa and thus holds the most goals in a single season as he guided his side to victory that year.
Jamil Willy Kyambadde is well remembered for his stint at Arua young , Express FC and KCC FC (Currently KCCA FC). Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago called for other good samaritans to come over and help other needy ex-internals who are in a saddening state.
He named Jimmy Muguwa formerly at Express, Simon Omba a former Coffee United football genius and Peter Wandyete a former Gangama FC (Heroes) KCC and Bell FC star who all need to be helped. He also hinted on the saddening state in which Jimmy Kirunda died.
He agitated for the introduction of a way through which clubs should help their players prepare for life after active football. Like the NSSF does for the workers, football should resort to the same.
Lukwago also gave other things like food and hens to the two former football geniuses.
