Taata Sam and 20 Others Fired from Digida FM, They Threaten to Sue Management

Comedian Taata Sam real name, Sunday Robert has led a group of fellow 20 employees to issue issue an intension to sue notice to their former boss at Digida FM, a one Segawa Ronald Gyagenda thereby demanding shs148 million for illegal holding of their salaries and unfair dismissal from work.

The development comes almost three months down the road ever since the Bukoto music local youth based station – Digida FM was sold off to an unknown buyer and the employees were left in shock and dismay with their contractual obligations totally violated.

Through their lawyers, Kigenyi-Opira &CO. Advocates, the sacked employees have issued a three day ultimatum to the former radio station owner, Ssegawa Ronald Gyagenda, an Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Health to pay their salary arrears accruing to one hundred three million six hundred twelve thousand Uganda shillings, pay more thirty five million as damages for illegal holding of their salaries and unfair termination and ten million, three hundred thousand shillings as legal costs.

If the above conditions are not fulfilled within the stipulated time, the former workers have instructed their lawyers to proceed on with the matter in the courts of law.
