Uganda Premier League defending champions SC Vipers are in high gear preparing for the next season which also includes the CAF Champions League.

The club started preparations by making two significant signings of former Express FC captain Disan Galiwango and Ibrahim Orit, a former Mbarara City FC midfielder. News from trusted sources indicate how the Venoms are set to make a club overhaul in which close to ten players will be shown the exit door.

They include Henry Kitegenyi, Tom Masiko, Farouk Musisi, Tito Okello, Brian Nkuubi, Dickens Okwir, Duncan Seninde and Steven Mukwala. The arrival of Disan Galiwango and the bringing back of Dan Birikwalira from a loan spell at Kyetume last season left no room for Farouk Musisi at the left back department which also has Aziz Kayondo.

At the front line, it is learnt that Vipers have already lured the services of prodigal son Yunus Ssentamu. With on form striker Fahad Bayo and Mohammed Shaban already at the club, Fred Kajoba saw it un necessary to bring back Steven Mukwala despite a superb display that saw him topple the league's top scorers' list (13 goals) at the relegated Maroons side last season.

In the midfield, the side has already recruited Ibrahim Orit and players like Tom Masiko, who had a disco-light performance last season could not survive the cut given the fact that his contract has also expired. Tito Okello and Steven Mukwala's contracts have also expired.

The club has also planned loaning out Bashir Sekagya, Baden Mujahid, Brian Kalumba, Abraham Ndugwa and goalkeeper
Derrick Ochan.

The four time Uganda Premier League Champions are known to be in the hunt for Kyetume's goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, Proline 's Center back Mujuzi Mustafa, Tooro United's midfielder Farouk Katongole and Bright Stars' star boy Jamil Kaliisa.

After winning this season's UPL trophy, Vipers are joint fourth on the list of Uganda Premier League title. winners along URA FC and are vying for overtaking the tax collectors this coming season slated to kick off on 17th October, 2020.
