Gomba Extends Lamech 'Lampash' Mwebaza's Stay at Club

In a bid for Kitunzi's side to claim a record fithth Masaza cup title, they have embarked on retaining super stars and the latest to extend his stay at the four time and record champions Gomba is Lamech "Lampash" Mwebaze.

Gomba lions went to their social media platforms to confirm the development and had this to post...

"We announce Lamech Mwebaza as a player for Gomba Lions Football Club".

The experienced forward was at the same team last year as the Ibrahim Kirya coached side failed to make it out of the group stages.

Gomba are four time champions having won in 2004,2009, 2014 and 2019.

Two time winners Bulemeezi are the defending champions having beaten Busiro 1:0 in the finals at Namboole last year. Thanks to a goal from sensational midfieder Emmanuel Loki. Their other championship came in 2012 when they beat Buwekula at Nakivubo.

The 2020 Masaza cup tournament which oftenly kicks off in June is to take place immediately the lock down is eased.
