Like it is the case at Blizz Uganda, we bring to you the birthdays of Ugandan football giants and today we have Allan kateregga “The Dancing Rasta” who plys his trade for for Erbil SC in Iraq.
Born on 3rd June 1994 Kateregga celebrates his birthday today as the Uganda Martyrs are also being celebrated. He has been one of Uganda’s current entertaining creative midfielders running fans crazy at the pitch with his dribbling skills leaving many amused. Allan started his football journey in Uganda at now defunct Sports Club Victoria University in 2012/2013.
He later joined Kenya’s outfits and brewers Tusker FC who he played for during the 2013/2014 season before moving back to his homeland to play for BUL FC in 2014/2015. He returned to Kenya and played for A.F.C Leopards who he played for from 2015 to 2017. From Leopards, he came back to Uganda and played for KCCA who he helped win the Uganda Premier League title in 2017/2018.
He joined South Africa’s Cape Town City for the 2018/2019 season before being loaned to Maritzburg United on loan last year and finally signed for current club Erbil SC in Iraq.
Kateregga was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that played in the 2019 Africa cup of Nations and finished at the last sixteen for the first time since 1978 when the national team lost 2:0 in the finals to Ghana.
