Sensational Midfielder Godfrey Lwesibawa joins Express FC

A few days ago after Express FC announced new CEO Isaac Mwesigwa, the Red Eagles have now been known to have lured the services of sensational midfielder Godfrey Lwesibawa.

The former SC Villa star returns to a club he played for during 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 seasons. He joins his former Tooro United coach Wasswa Bbosa who was recently (Friday 29th May 2020) unveiled at the club as the new head coach.

Godfrey Lwesibaawa was at SC Villa for two seasons, between 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 managing seven goals in 24 assists. He is one of the country's best creative midfielders.

For the last two seasons, Lwesibawa has been playing for Tooro United under now new Express head coach Wasswa Bbosa and the two have enjoyed the period working together.

Express FC are six time Uganda Premier League Champions and their last championship came in 2012 under Sam Ssimbwa. Since then, the Red Eagles have endured hard times and have occasionally narrowly escaped the cut.

They finished 9th in the recently counselled 2019/2020 season with 31 points from nine wins, four draws and twelve losses.
