Wakiso Giants to refund its supporters after the season was called off.
After Uganda's football governing body FUFA nullifying the 2019/2020 Ugandan Premier League season, Wakiso Giants Football Team are the first side to announce how they are going compensate their supporters for the two home games they were left with this season.
The fans missed attending two home games which included SC Villa and KCCA FC but according to the club CEO Kamoga Sula says they will have to compensate.
Part of the statement he released on the club's official page reads...
"As courtesy and fairness to our season ticket holders, the club has decided to compensate for the two home games missed this season with a discount on your new season ticket for the upcoming season of 2019/2020. As Management we shall always strive to provide the best match day experience for our clients and fans that attend all our events ".
Nicknamed the "Purple Sharks", Wakiso Giants finished in 10th position with 30 points from 8 wins, 6 draws and 11 losses in 25 matches. Being the inaugural season for the Wakiso side, the CEO says they have acquired their season target of staying up though he's optimistic the team would have done much better had the season been completed.
