Masaza Cup: Mawogola Saza Team Names Simon Ddungu as New Head Coach

As effervescence is high in the midst of preparations for the fourth coming 16th edition of the Airtel Masaza Cup 2020, Mawogola Saza Team Manager Edison "Nyantangga" Kachumitana has named Simon Ddungu "Coach Ddunga" as the head coach ahead of their quest for a first Masaza Cup trophy.

Ddungu joins with a vast experience in the Buganda Masaza Cup. He won the championship with Gomba in 2017, also worked with Mawokota as they won in 2013 and also was at the same team last year. He was also at Buwekula in 2014 and at Buddu in 2018.

Dddunga who was recently reported to take over at Buwekula FC had this to say,

"Am Very happy to be named as the head coach of the Mawogola Saza Football Team. I have made the right choice to work with Mawogola in the 2020 Buganda Masaza cup," the tactician asserted.

"I thank the Chief of Mawogola (Muteesa), the team manager and the entire committee for entrusting me, I promise to guide them to the crown, the championship," added Ddungu.

Mawogola is one of the ten Buganda Counties yet to test the sweetness of Masaza Cup and the appointment of a senior coach with a vast experience has left fans with hopes that this time round things may seem better.
