A fortnight ago Uganda's Football governing body FUFA donated 12.5 tones of food to the COVID-19 task Force in response to President Museveni who recently called upon people to help in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
While giving out food, FUFA President Moses Magogo asserted that the food would benefit the players in the Star times Premier League, FUFA Women Super League, FUFA Women Elite league and officials at FUFA.
BUL FC on Friday 17th April came up to announce as they received their 175Kgs of Rice, here their statement read:
BUL Football Club Jinja can confirm that today Friday April 17, received the FUFA's donation of 175 kgs of rice towards their generous contribution to all Premier and Big League players.
FUFA yesterday announced via their communication portals that they would help and give relief food (rice) to all Premier and Big League players in this trying period where COVID-19 Pandemic has hit the economy globally.
FUFA by so doing was answering the President of the Republic of Uganda's humble call to institutions and / or individuals who can afford help in terms of food, cash or any form of materials to pass it on to those in need.
"As BUL Football Club Jinja family, we say thank you to FUFA for we will never say enough to express our appreciation for your timely support to our players in this trying moments when players can't kick a ball to earn a living, you are one of a kind.
We feel so much pleased and special for this food donation received. Thank you. Management."
