FUFA has on Thursday 16th April joined President Museven’s out-cry to the public to help donate towards fighting COVID-19 by donating 12.5 tones of rice to the National COVID-19 Task Force to be distributed to the communities during this lock down.
In some of his submissions, FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo had this to say; the donation will cater for close to 2000 football players and FUFA officials in Uganda Premier League, FUFA Premier League, FUFA Women Super League and FUFA Women Elite League who are no longer earning in the midst of the lock down across the country.
The function which was held at the Prime Minister’s office in kampala was attended to by Minister of General Duties in the Prime Minister’s office Hon Mary Karooro Okurut who showed her need for the public to give more so as they get enough to add to what they already received. Also at the function was state Minister for Sports Hon. Hamson Denis Obua, First Vice president Justus Mugisha and third Vice President Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kikyingi.
