Singer Catherine Kusasira after succumbing to too much pressure from several parties has finally apologised to Ugandans for an error in her judgment that forced her to seek government compensation to musicians her inclusive whose concerts had been banned following the presidential directive of locking down public gatherings.

Her being one of the artistes that had to cancel their concerts, 'Mama kabina' had cried out to the government for compensation after banning public gatherings for 32 days.

Through a written apology through her social media platforms, Kusasira has apologised to fellow citizens especially those that had watched a video where she lashed out to the government seeking for compensation for their canceled shows.

According to the State Minister for Condolences, she regrets her move as it was an error of judgment since entertainers should be treated like the rest of the citizens but not scoop preferential judgement.

"OFFICIAL APOLOGY:
I would like to take this opportunity to categorically apologize to all Ugandans that watched the video in which I appeared to suggest that I and other artists should be compensated for the concerts that have been cancelled in the coming 30 days. It was an error of judgement on my part and I regret it. The entire nation is in distress because of the effects of corona virus therefore we as artists and entertainers should not get any preferential treatment.
Kindly accept my apology
[CATHERINE KUSASIRA].
