Wakiso Giants have relieved head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi of his duties at the club following unsatisfying results since the gaffer took over on 25th November, 2019.

Mbabazi has during his stint at the "Purple Sharks" managed one win, a 1:0 win at home against Onduparaka, in six league matches drawing three and losing two, claiming only six points out of a possible 18.

Below are Wakiso Giants' results under Livingstone Mbabazi:

Wakiso Giants 1:2 Police FC.

Mbarara City FC 1:0 Wakiso Giants.

Wakiso Giants 1:0 Onduparaka.

BUL 0:0 Wakiso Giants.

Wakiso Giants 1:1 Bright Stars.

Tooro United 2:1 Wakiso Giants.

The other only win for the now defunct coach was a 2:0 away win over Bugoigo Leopards at the round of 64 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup making it only two wins in seven matches in all competitions.

A 2:1 loss to the problems-hit Tooro United in the most recent fixture steered the hierarchy's anger and to question the coach's tactics.

The former Onduparaka FC, Mbarara city FC coach and Uganda Cranes former midfielder cum forward will be replaced by Steven Bbengo as an interim caretaker boss who also had the same responsibility when Kefa Kisala was sacked before Mbabazi's appointment.

At his departure, Mbabazi leaves "The Pride of Wakiso in 9th position with 25 points from 7 wins, 4 draws and 10 losses.

Wakiso Giants are in action today, taking part in the round of 32 fixture against MYDA in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
