Express FC have sacked head coach George Ssimwogerere one day to a full year since his appointment on 5th February, 2019 when he was named to replace Keefa Kisala to take charge of the six time champions.
His last five matches have seen the results deteriorate losing three and winning one league and cup match. The team stands one slot above relegation in 13th position with 21 points, 6 wins, 3 draws and 11 losses.

It is thought former Express FC player and coach Wasswa Bbosa who recently had a stint at Tooro United will take over reigns in the coaching role with Players’ intermediary Mwesigwa Isaac to take over as new CEO.
Tooro United's Goalkeeping coach Sam Kawalya and team Doctor Aloysius Makubuya who resigned at the club are also thought to be part of the new technical bench to be named sooner.
Express FC's next fixture is a trip away to Arua for an encounter with fifth placed Onduparaka on Friday 7th February, 2020.
