Wydad Casablanca have reached an agreement with former Uganda Cranes tactician Sebastian Desabre. The French Professional manager has according to "football 256" agreed a two and a half a year contract to replace the sacked Zoran Manojlovic.

The Serbian coach had been at the helm of the Moroccans for only six months but the club's early cup elimination by rivals FAR Rabat and a 2:2 draw with Angola's Petro Atletico in the Caf Champions League left the hierarchy dissatisfied.

Desabre joins Uganda's Joel Madondo who he worked with at the Cranes though the player didn't make it to national team on several occassions. Joel recently signed for the club from Busoga United.

Sebastian Desabre will be in charge of his first match on Monday 20th January, 2020 with a trip to Olympic club de safi at Stade el Massira Safi. Desabre, also known as the Florist during his days as a player has a vast experience of coaching African clubs. He has been at clubs like Coton Sport, Espérance de Tunis, Recreativo do Libolo, JS Saoura, Wydad Casablanca Ismaily,Pyramids among others.

In Uganda, he guided the Cranes to the last sixteen of Africa Cup Of Nations 2019, their highest finish in African Football since 1978 when the Cranes made it to the finals.

However, he quit the Uganda national team to join Egypt's Pyramids FC after Uganda had exited the AFCON 2019, but didn't last for a while at the club as he was fired five months later.
