Match day 17 of the Star Times Uganda Premier League continues today Wednesday 15th January with four fixtures lined up at different Stadiums.

At Bombo Military Play Ground, 10th placed Mbarara city hosts 8th placed Wakiso Giants. Both teams lost their second round opening matches with Mbarara city losing 1:0 to KCCA FC and Wakiso giants under their new coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi lost his first game in charge 2:1 to visitors Police FC.

At FUFA Technical Center Njeru, third placed BUL FC who lost 1:0 to Bright Stars in their most recent fixture host 7th placed URA FC who beat SC Villa 2:0 in the second round opening match.

URA's coach Sam Ssimbwa is under increasing pressure after his words in which he asserted that his former CEO Kakembo was a hindrance to positive results. Sam's comments were responded to by his former boss (Kakembo) saying that he refused to fund Sam's budget in which he wanted to bribe referees for favour.

Jackson "Mia Mia" Mayanja's 13th placed side who lost 1:0 to Vipers in the past fixture host 15th placed and relegation threatened Tooro United who lost three points to Onduparaka by forfeiture after failing to raise licenses for players in their second round opener.

At Star times Stadium Lugogo, Police FC, 2:1 Victors over Wakiso Giants in their most recent fixture host Express FC who lost 2:0 at Busoga United recently.
