Uganda U17 Girls Team Beats Ethiopia 2:0 in FIFA U17 Qualifiers

The U17 national girls' team of Uganda on Saturday 11th January, 2020 beat Ethiopia 2:0 to set a reasonable ground ahead of their return leg.

The CECAFA U17 girls' tournament winners went ahead in the 6th minute when team captain Juliet Nalukenge scored the match's first goal and Catherine Nagadya scored the second three minutes to play.

The return leg is scheduled for a date between 20th and 25th January 2020 with the aggregate winner over the two legs facing either Burundi or Tanzania in the next round.

The team is preparing for the 7th edition of the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup that is to take place in India from 2nd November to 1st November 2020.

The tournament started in 2008 and takes place every after two years. It will be the first of FIFA's sanctioned women football tournaments to be hosted by India.
