Wakiso Giants FC have succumbed to a 2:1 loss against Police FC in their opening match of the second round at their home Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

The Cops went ahead three minutes into half time courtesy of Ben Ocen who took his goals tally of the season to 10.

Home side Wakiso Giants, "The Pride of Wakiso" and also nicknamed "the Purple Sharks" responded quickly with an equaliser seven minutes later through Geoffrey Sserunkuuma who manipulated defender Henry Katongole's mistake to his advantage.

However, Abdullah Mubiru's charges saw a second goal the 67th through new signing Kigozi Samson who arrived from Busiro. His goal means he has four to his name for this season.

The result to Wakiso Giants' new coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi who arrived in November last year from Onduparaka means he starts on a losing note and will hope results get to his way when he visits Mbarara city on Wednesday 15th November, 2020.

Police FC have completed a season double over league debutants Wakiso Giants having won the first leg played at the Star Times stadium with an identical score. The win by Police FC takes them to 15 points and moves them out of relegation zone to 13th position with Tooro United dropping down on 14 points.
