The "Purple Sharks" Wakiso Giants have announced the signing of former Onduparaka forward Geriga Atendele on a three year contract.

Geriga has for long been the apple of an eye for new coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi ever since the gaffer joined the Wakiso Giants from Onduparaka.

Atendele Geriga joins the attacking trio of Karim Nduggwa, former Old Boy at Onduparaka Vianey Ssekajugo and Tom Masiko in the hunt for goals ahead of their second round opener against Police FC.

The trio above managed a combined 15 goals amongst them, with Vianey Ssekajugo netting 7, Karim Nduggwa 5 and three goals from Tom Masiko and with Atende joining them, Onduparaka's attacking prowess will be at its high.

Wakiso Giants open their second round of the league today Saturday 11th January, 2020 with a match at home against Police FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium at 4PM. The match will be televised live on Sanyuka TV.

League debutants and the Pride of Wakiso, Wakiso Giants FC finished the first round in 7th position on 20 points from 6 wins, 2 draws and 7 loses. They take on an Abdullah Muburu coached side that finished the first round in relegation zone, in 14th position on 12 points from 4 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses.
