The Star Times Uganda Premier League (SUPL) second round resumed on 7th January, 2019 with one fixture at the Arena of Visions at Ndejje University between URA and record champions SC Villa. The former beat the later 2:0 thanks to goals from Daniel Isiagi and Mike Birungi in the 1st and 64th minute respectively.
Shafic Kagimu made a good swinging cross for Daniel Isiagi who headed in to give URA a lead in the first minute whereas Joachim Ojera bursted in the byline through two Villa defenders, crossed to Mike Birungi who slotted in to double the home side's lead.
URA's defender Benjamin Nyakojo was named the man of the match after a wonderful display that kept Villa's front at bay and failed to register even a consolation.
The other match day 16 match meant to be played at St.Paul's National Major Seminary play ground in Fort Portal between Tooro United and Onduparaka was called off.
The match was called off due the failure by home team (Tooro United) to produce the required number of licenses for players to participate in the match. The final verdict will be made by the football governing body FUFA.
