KEY ORGANISATIONS INVOLVED

The Kampala Book Market is a monthly initiative of major Ugandan literary organisations led by the Uganda Society, the African Studies Bookstore, Lantern Meet Foundation, and the Uganda Women Writers' Association (Femrite).

HUGELY IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS

Held since May 2018, the market has become a major platform for promoting African literature. It assists people who are looking for something new to read from local writers. The market draws hundreds of people every month. It connects booksellers to book buyers, and publishers to authors. This will be the 20th edition of the market.
