Manchini is an Italian manager currently managing the National team of Italy. During his playing time, he was always deployed as deep lying forward and spent most of his playing career at Sampdoria FC.
He won the Italian Serie A title, Coppa Italia titles, and the European Cup Winners' Cup. He made 36 appearances for Italy, guiding his national team to the semi finals of both UEFA Euro 1988 and the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
