After a run of 13 matches that has seen former Bright Stars Coach Mohammed Kiseka manage only one win, the least number of wins by any team this season, Bright Stars have announced new coach in Paul Kiwanuka.

In the official statement on their social media Platforms, the club had to assert;

"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Kiwanuka as the new Head Coach of the club until the end of the current season. Mr. Kiwanuka takes over from Mr. Muhammed Kisekka who will be deployed by the club in another capacity as the head of Scouting and Youth Development.

Kiwanuka will work with Mr. Simon Mugerwa as his assistant. The rest of the technical set up of the club remains unchanged. We thank Mr. Kisekka for his contribution to the club for the period he has been Head coach and also wish him all the best in his new designation. We would like to request the football stakeholders to give our new Head Coach all the support needed to see that the club succeeds in its targets this season".

Bright Stars are in the relegation zone, 14th in the table on 10 points from one win, seven draws and six losses in 14 matches. They face electronic Police FC who shocked Tooro United with a 4:0 win in their most recent match in the league.

Bright Stars will play host to Police FC at Bombo Military Grounds in today's early kick off at 1Pm.
