Singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool has officially released "Motivation," the second single off his upcoming album Break the Chains. Following the high-energy Circumference, this latest track sees him take a softer, love-infused approach, proving once again his ability to evolve with the times.
In a strategic rollout, Bebe Cool introduced Motivation Week, an initiative meant to inspire Ugandans across different fields. He announced that this annual event will take place every year in the week following Valentine’s Day, serving as a platform to celebrate motivators and encourage progress. During a roundtable discussion for Motivation Week, Bebe Cool also revealed that "Motivation" would be dropping soon, leaving fans eager for a fresh sound from the legendary artist.
Known for his ability to reinvent himself, Bebe Cool has successfully explored various genres throughout his career, from ragga to Afrobeats. With Break the Chains, he continues to embrace the global Afrobeat wave, ensuring his sound remains relevant on the international stage.
"Motivation" is a testament to this evolution. Produced by Bushington (George Kagoda) and Melanin Boy, the song delivers smooth Afrobeats melodies, blending catchy rhythms with heartfelt lyrics. Unlike the club banger Circumference, which sparked debates over its experimental sound, Motivation takes a more familiar yet refined approach—bringing back the emotional depth that fans associate with classics like Love You Everyday and Freedom.
The music video, directed by Garrick Williams and Bushington, continues the cinematic storytelling Bebe Cool introduced with Circumference. This time, the focus is on love, but with an unconventional twist. The visuals challenge traditional beauty standards, showcasing a love story where connection outweighs appearances. His leading lady—a heavily tattooed woman—is portrayed as his equal, a partner in both life and business.
