TikToker Pretty Nicole was dragged to Kawempe Police Station by Hajat Kulthum Nabunya, wife of Acram Gumisiriza, over an alleged blackmail attempt after an audio recording went viral on social media, exposing a scheme to extort money from Acram.
In the leaked audio, Nicole reportedly plotted to manipulate Acram by sending his photo to Nisha and encouraging her to seduce him. The plan allegedly involved Nisha sending pictures and luring Acram into a compromising video call where they aimed to capture his parts. The intention was to blackmail him by threatening to release the footage on social media unless he paid them a sum of money.
Fortunately for Acram, the plan backfired, and when the scheme became public, it was met with widespread condemnation on social media.
Hajat Kulthum took matters into her own hands by confronting Nicole at Kawempe Police Station. Nicole was subsequently made to write a formal apology, promising to stop gossiping about Hajat Kulthum and her husband on social media. The written apology, which was reviewed by police officers, read:
"I, Pretty Nicole, apologize to Hajat Kulthum Gumisiriza for talking about her and her husband on social media. This follows the live streams and audio recordings that offended them. If I repeat this offense, this apology will serve as evidence against me. I also promise to do a live video confirming this apology."
The matter was resolved amicably with the presence of Nicole’s mother, who reprimanded her daughter for her actions. However, Hajat Kulthum made it clear that any future transgressions would be met with serious consequences.
