Singer turned politician MP Bobi Wine has paid tribute to another People Power opposition political pressure group supporter who passed on last Tuesday night (Ssewankambo Hannington) alias Sweet Pepsi after recently being tortured by the army asserting that the late joined his ancestors minus bringing to book to all those that violated his rights.
Sweet Pepsi was brutalized by the military allegedly because of his too much love and support for the Kyadondo East legislator and for the past, the deceased has been on his death bed attaining specialised medical attention.
It must be remembered that the late Sweet Pepsi is one of the victims of torture and assualt by the Special Forces army last year as he confessed his solidarity and support to the Kyadondo East parliamentary legislator following the OTT tax demos and Arua Municipality fracas where the later was seriously assaulted by the army.
The former 97.3 Radio Simba former 'Neyimbira byange' participant has all along been battling with the effects of that aftermath until last night when he succumbed to death. Many thanks to @Atulinda_Allan, a BBC photographer who put his camera down, quickly responded to the call, and gave Sweet Pepsi the life saving help. MP Bobi Wine has penned a heartwarming condolence message below:
"Deeply saddened by the untimely death of comrade and artiste Ssewankambo Hannington, commonly known as Sweet Pepsi. Last year, Sweet Pepsi was grossly brutalised by the military. For joining other Ugandans to express solidarity with me and our cause, this harmless and peaceful citizen was bartered by those who were supposed to protect him.
The cold, brutal men left him bleeding profusely and went for other targets. It is very painful that he has died without seeing any of those who violated him being brought to justice. Rest in peace comrade. May your memory guide those who remain to work even harder and restore sanity to our nation," Said MP Bobi Wine.

A peaceful, harmless citizen battered for gathering to express solidarity with me and our cause! Yesterday, he passed on. Deeply saddened. Rest well pic.twitter.com/vX98w3mDKk
