The Masaza cup 2019 tournament semifinals first leg were played on 15th September, 2019 with the away sides taking advantage of the matches.

Busiro, who were visitors at Masaka recreational grounds emerged victorious with a 2:1 win against home side Buddu FC.

Bulemeezi who visited Kyadondo at Mwererwe secured a one all stalemate at Mwererwe.

Like in the quarter finals, Busiro won away from home against Ssese and drew at home to advance to this stage while Bulemeezi also drew 1:1 with Kyaggwe but won 1:0 at home to reach the semis.

Buddu FC missed a penalty that would have boosted their chances of playing in the finals but a goal in normal time means they now need a 2:0 win over Busiro in the return leg.

It is said the Buddu side are demanding their bosses and they refused to play a friendly match against URA FC before yesterday's loss. This environment is thought to have sparked off such a disappointing result difficult to overturn it away to Busiro next week.

The second leg will be played next week with Busiro who are looking for their maiden final hosting Buddu at Ssentema Saza ground in Kakiri, Wakiso.

Bulemeezi (winners in 2012), who are looking for a second title will host Kyadondo at Kasana, Luweero.
